Tough ice bears

A 'tough' story came in by VAB, the largest Belgian automobile association. VAB keeps you on the road. In event of a breakdown, VAB members can rely on immediate assistance from one of their 240 patrolmen in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg.  Thanks to an automated systems, the patrolmen nearest to you gets an agenda update and all required info on his car-mounted Toughbook, and navigates to you. Busiest days are when times are tough. Last winter one of their patrolmen arrived at site to get an immobilized car going. When he step up to the cars owner, he slipped on the icy surface of the drive way and ended up, together with his equipement, in the front yard's pound. Soaked and Cold, but like VAB technicians, Toughbooks know accidents happen, and we make sure you can go on. Our CF-19 worked fine after this ice bear dive and enabled the car repair could be succesfully finished, just after the technican was up to temperature again.
